TERMS AND CONDITIONS Self Catering Cottages Terms & Conditions GENERAL All guests should satisfy themselves with the terms and policies detailed below before proceeding with a reservation. Should any clarifications be required prior to booking a request should be made to Higher Hendra Farm cottages to avoid confusion or misunderstanding. On payment of a reservation deposit, guests will have been deemed to have satisfied themselves with Higher Hendra Farm cottages Terms and Conditions and Access Statement as published. We reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions as appropriate, without detriment to guests statutory rights. No liability will be accepted by Higher Hendra Farm cottages for any damage or loss of personal property or vehicles – ALL VEHICLES ARE PARKED STRICTLY AT THE OWNERS RISK. CHECK IN / CHECK OUT The cottages will be available from 15.00pm on the day of arrival unless alternative times are mutually agreed in advance. The cottage is to be vacated by 10.00am on the day of departure. Pets are allowed subject to prior arrangement. Children are welcome in the cottage PAYMENT POLICY A non refundable deposit of 30% is payable upon booking. The balance of the total holiday cost is payable 28 days prior to the start of your holiday. Bookings within 28 days of arrival require full payment in advance. Payment Methods accepted: • Credit / Debit Cards • Cash or • Bank transfer (Please contact us for payment details) Regretfully cheques (personal or company) and AMEX will not be accepted. CANCELLATION If a guest does not pay the balance fee at the prescribed time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. In this event the deposit will be forfeited. If the client cancels after the booking is confirmed (notification of which must be given in writing) the full amount of the rent is payable, unless the property can be re-let. We therefore recommend holiday insurance. If the cottage is re-let covering the full period cancelled (and every effort we be made to do so) all monies paid will be refunded– less the non-refundable element/deposit. Confirmed cottage bookings are provided to guests on a NON-TRANSFERABLE basis. CHANGES OR CANCELLATION BY OWNERS Whenever possible all changes will be advised to you without delay. Should circumstances beyond our control require us to cancel a booking, we will, where possible, make alternative arrangements. Should these prove unacceptable and once instructions have been received in writing from you, a full refund of all monies will be paid. CONDITION We, the proprietors, will always do our best to ensure the cottage is clean and comfortable upon arrival. Guests are required to leave the cottage in a clean and tidy state on departure. Appropriate cleaning materials and equipment is provided to assist guests. DAMAGE TO FIXTURES & FITTINGS Guests are requested to report all faults and damages to fixtures and fittings to ensure repairs/replacement procedures are implemented immediately and to safeguard the property and the ongoing comfort of everyone. Guests will be liable for all breakages and/or damages caused during the period of letting howsoever caused. The owners reserve the right to claim full repair/replacement costs where it is considered that damage/breakage was caused through negligence. Guests are advised to take out personal travel/holiday insurance. NON-SMOKING POLICY We operate a strict policy of non-smoking throughout all Higher Hendra Farm cottages, Guests will be required to vacate the cottage for any serious or continued breach of this smoking policy, without re-imbursement of letting costs. The owners also reserve the right to invoice an additional cleaning charge of £100 to cover the cost of cleaning for breach of this no- smoking policy. Deliberate de-activation of any part of the fire alarm system will be considered a serious breach. ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES The possession of and/or use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited at Higher Hendra Farm cottages. Any evidence of, or guests found to have illegal substances on the premises will be instructed to checkout immediately. We reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions as appropriate, without detriment to guest statutory rights.
